The A-Light has been tested at UL (Underwriters Laboratories Inc. New York) against World Bank Specifications and found being conform to those specifications. Further the lamp has been extensively tested by the Indonesian Institute of Technology ( BPPT ) and by the Netherlands Energy Research Foundation ( ECN ). Worldwide over 500, 000 A-Lights have already been installed.

Fluorescent Lamps

The A-light is a fluorescent straight tube lighting fixture with a uniquely designed reflector and armature. The A-light is a complete set consisting of armature, electronic ballast, 10W fluorescent tube and fixation materials.
The A-light is available in various types and colours for both 12VDC and 220VAC power sources.
Installation is very simple; the endcaps, which cover the fittings and ballast, can be removed without any unscrewing and can be put in place again by simply clicking them onto the armature.
The A-light is provided with rigid terminals to assure a good connection, which is very important for DC low voltage appliances to avoid voltage drop.

Applications

The A-light in 12VDC version can be used in combination with the Solar Generator for all kinds of purposes; interior lighting in remote areas, weekend houses, cottages and caravans. To be installed where no conventional grid electricity is available. The A-light is also perfect for emergency lighting systems, in combination with the Solar Generator.

In its 220VAC version the A-light is perfect for lighting purposes in areas where the grid electricity is unstable and shows a widely fluctuating voltage. The 220VAC version of the A-light can operate without any problems within a range of 150 up to 230VAC.
